Fall 2008 Teaching Update:

At Otis College of Art, I will be teaching Life Drawing in their Foundation Department on Mondays, in Fall 2008.

 

New! (As of 5/2/08)

At Otis College of Art, I will be training to teach Life Drawing in their Foundation Department on Tuesdays, in Fall 2008.

Note: I will NOT be teaching Life Drawing at Irvine Valley College in Fall 2008 due to a scheduling conflict. However the class will still be running and I hope to return to IVC in future semesters, as I tremendously enjoy teaching there.

July 2008: My article discussing the Open Figure Drawing Workshops that I run appeared in ImagineFX magazine. Check out the article here!

 

May 2008: At the end of this month, I will have been back in Los Angeles for one year. Woo!

 

May 2007: Moved back to Los Angeles, California to start teaching.

 

May 2007: Invited to exhibit digital paintings in the show “Sumus Vicinae”, an invitational group show of international artists to be held in Paris, France.

 

April 2006: Invited to write 2 cover related articles for ImagineFX magazine, leading digital arts publication.

 

March 2006: Invited to write cover related article for ImagineFX magazine, leading digital arts publication.

 

March 2006: Invited to join the BETA testing team for the popular digital sculpting software, ZBrush 3.0.

November 2006: Animations featured and published in the book, Live Movies: A Field Guide to New Media For The Performing Arts. Malone, Kirby and Gail Scott White, eds. Fairfax: Multimedia Performance Studio Press, 2006.

 

October 2006: Launched www.foundationalarts.com, a joint personal website / forum dedicated to the foundations of figurative art with friend Joel Carlo.

 

October 2006: Featured in ImagineFX Magazine’s “Artist Insight” section.

 

October 2006: Granted permission to write 2 articles about the Anatomy Forum for IT’S ART MAGAZINE for its upcoming edition.

 

August 2006: Interviewed for IT’S ART MAGAZINE for its upcoming edition.

 

August 2006: Mentioned in ImagineFX Magazine in article about Anatomy for Beginning Artists. The work I do for the Open Figure Drawing Workshops on the Anatomy Forum was mentioned by the article writer, who developed his digital art style through my free online Workshops.

Work and bio presented in new online (French and English) magazine.

December 2005: Received BOXX Sponsorship
For projects relating to the Anatomy Forum, I received as part of a BOXX Sponsorship a free BOXX Workstation at a value of over $3,000.

 

December 2005: My article on drawing, “Drawing Lessons: Opposing Curves (Nudity)” was published online by the CGSociety. It has enjoyed immense popularity and has been referenced on numerous international websites.
